Happy Halloween!

Welcome Happy Haunts!

It is finally time to join all the ghoulish fun! Are you heading to a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party? I would love to hear about y’alls experiences and costumes in the comments!!!

I end up being away from home during this time so I am highly jealous of anyone who is able to go to the parks. But when I was there last time, I got to catch a few glimpses of Halloween taking over the park before their official Halloween launch!

The first thing I noticed was all the new amazing merchandise!! Those mouse ears are so cute! I think my favorite was the black ears with the candy corn bow. It was adorable! But orange was definitely taking over the the ears and the clothing.

It was a sad day to see the Pixar signs being removed but now Oogie Boogie has taken back the parks and candy and fun begins!

Makes sure if you are attend the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party that you show up early. People with party tickets can get in sometimes as early as 4pm.

The Boo-To-You parade will definitely be the highlight of the night. All of the Villian characters come to life! Interacting with the guest and starting the spooky atmosphere. You will see all your favorite villians plus the headless horseman, the hitchhiking ghosts, the dancing haunts from the Haunted Mansion, and more!

Also do NOT forget you candy bags!!! Believe me! Your candy will last you so long with the large amount they hand out each night. So if you have a sweet tooth this is your time to enjoy every once of that delicious candy goodness!

It is such an exciting time of year for everyone at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure! I hope you all enjoy you spooktackular adventure!

But watch out! “It’s a full moon tonight and that’s when all the weirdo’s are out” - Dani (Hocus Pocus)

Rocket Unplugs You and Starts Things Rocking!!!

Hello Darlings!

Guardians of the Galaxy has been my favorite ride at the parks since it opened. I was definitely very skeptical when I heard that Disney was not going to renew their license to continue running Tower of Terror. But the second I went on Guardians, I was addicted!

For those who haven’t been on the ride yet, there are different versions of the ride to go on. The video changes with the soundtrack playing on the ride and it is completely random. In total, there are six songs.

  1. “I Want You Back” by The Jackson 5
  2. “Flashlight” by Parliament
  3. “Hit Me with Your Best Shot” by Pat Benatar
  4. “Burning Love” by Elvis Presley
  5. “Born to be Wild” by Steppenwolf
  6. “Free Ride” by The Edgar Winter Group

I have been able to ride all six but it probably took me around 15 times to get all of them. Some days, would ride it three times just to see if I could get that last song. It was worth it every time!

The best thing about this ride is the feeling. Everyone is singing, dancing, laughing, and just enjoying every second of it. Also, the way the ride works is that it is constantly floating up and down verses stopping and dropping. This makes the riders feel like they are floating in space!

I suggest anyone who is on the edge about going on the ride to give it a try. If you do not like drop rides, you may enjoy it as it is constantly floats and has a great atmosphere. Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! is more than a ride, it is an experience.

Best Eats: Disney California Adventure

Hello Darlings!

If you are looking for the best sit-down restaurant, Wine Country is amazing! Maybe I am biased because I am Italian but it has incredible Oso Bucco. I do suggest making reservation for this restaurant well in advanced but if it is an off day you may be able to make a reservation the day of.

If you are wanting just appetizers and drinks, Lamplight Lounge is where to go. This used to be cove bar and had great food and drinks then but they still do now. You can now make reservations to go here but it also took over Ariel’s Grotto so there is a lot of space.

Need a quick snack? Try Mortimer’s fruit stand. They have many healthy and fresh snack options, including my favorite. Pickles!

The best is saved for last, desserts. The Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats is so yummy. If you are a root beer float fan, this is where you need to be. The soft serve is so delicious! Perfect for a hot summer day. Also, if you are a dole whip fan, you will love the “It’s Lemon!” offering. I had the Pixar Parfait and it was amazing!!! The lemon with the blue raspberry was a great combination. It was also super weird because the slushy was in a way creamy but very good.

Pixar Pier!

Hello Darlings!

Let’s talk about Pixar Pier! I was finally able to visit California Adventures at the end of the summer and boy oh boy was it CROWDED! I don’t think I have ever seen it so busy in that park. Seriously though, I have always thought of California Adventures as my happy place. Why? Because it is rarely crowded, has amazing food, and a really great home feeling to me.

So, I went into the park for my two-day trip with one goal. I was going to go on the Incredicoaster! Y’all I tried so hard. You have no idea!! I don’t think I was meant to go on that ride this trip. I sat for hours and got fast passes but every time I would walk over, it would break down! The ride looks like so much fun and I am so jealous of all the people who have gone on it. I hope that the next time I am home, I will actually be able to go on the ride.

That being said, the pier made me feel like a little kid. I have always been a huge Pixar movie fan so listening to all the songs walking through the pier made me incredibly happy. All the shops, stands, and games were all such bright colors that transports you into the Pixar universe.

Okay guys, let’s be real for a second. I love food! I got to try the Pixar parfait from the Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats, a Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num, and the cherry slushy. The food filled my tummy and my soul! Okay yes, I am being overdramatic but the cookie was filled with so much chocolate! Also the It’s Lemon was also so refreshing. Just perfect for the hot busy day!

All in all, I think the new Pixar Pier is so much fun and definitely should be visited. There is something for everyone to enjoy!

Planning Your Disneyland Trip

Hello Darlings!

Are you heading to Disneyland? I was actually on my way there when I wrote this! I wanted to share a few of my Disneyland planning tips with you to make your next Disney trip even more magical.

  1. The best days to go in my opinion are Tuesday through Thursday. The parks are normally a lot less crowded during this time especially during off season. Try to see if schools are in session and if they are, the park population will drop drastically.
  2. If you want to go to an empty park, it is best to avoid holiday season. It makes great pictures and is a lot of fun but everyone is there so you probably would not get to do all the experiences and rides you want on those days.
  3. Plan your fastpasses wisely. Pick your ride that you absolutely have to go on and get a fast pass for it first thing in the morning. Then wait in line for another ride that you really want to go on. Like today, I am going to get a fastpass for the Incredicoaster and then wait in line for Guardians of the Galaxy in California Adventure. If you want to start over on the Disneyland side, I suggest getting a fastpass for either Indiana Jones or Space Mountain.
  4. Make a game plan the days before. Use the Disney app to see how the ride times are and pick where you need to go at what time of the day.
  5. Try to eliminate the amount of walking time you have by finishing one section of the park at a time. (this does not include making it to your fastpass)
  6. Best times to go on busy rides are during parades or shows because a large amount of people are watching and not in line.
  7. Make reservations in advance. If you want to have a sit-down dinner, it is best to make a reservation at least a week in advance but it could still be booked at that time during busy seasons.
I hope these tips will help your next trip go smoothly and be completely magical.

About Me!

My name is Sabrina and I love the fun side of life. Disney has been my happy place as I know it
is for most of you. If it is not, that's okay all are welcome here!

I am currently a college student at Berklee College of Music on the path to graduate next year!
(Definitely excited about that!!) So obviously music has always been a huge part of my life.
I am a singer and actor. I have been part of many theatre productions and have had the lifelong
dream to be a Disney princess!(I mean what girl doesn't?!?)

Of course, my life is not only revolved around Disney (but I don’t think it would be bad if it was).

I love baking! My specialties are cupcakes. I like to make them completely from scratch.
My favorite was when I made s’mores cupcakes (mmmmmmmmmmmmm so good!).

Also, I enjoy sports. (Whaaaattttt?!?!? A theatre kid liking sports???) Okay golf is about as far as
I go into the sports realm. I was actually on the varsity golf team throughout high school but I
have been playing since I can could swing a club. Most likely I will continue to play my entire life.

Another thing about me is that I love crafts! Okay, this falls back into Disney a bit but you guys
get the point. I love painting but all my paints are in California. Because of this I had to switch
to a different way of express creatively. So I now make MOUSE EARS!!! I make them by hand in Boston
and ship them out for someone’s next magical adventure. I will make sure to add a link to my etsy
account below and if you click on the shop tab it will take you there. The shop is still growing and
I put a lot of heart into it so I hope other will enjoy these creations as much as I do.

So that is a little about me! If anyone has any questions, please contact me. I would love to have
conversations with you all!
