Give Me My Dole Whip!

Welcome Darlings!

Today I want to talk to you about one of the best things to eat at Disneyland, Dole Whip! If you have had this delicious pineapple treat, you are well aware that it is the best way to cool down on a hot Disney day.

This sweet goodness is located outside of the Tiki Room. Currently it is under construction but when the Tiki Room is open, you are able to grab your Dole Whip and watch where the “Birds Sing and the Flowers Croon”. An extra bonus is that this is one of the few areas that has A/C.

There are two different dole whip options at this location in Disneyland. You can pick from Dole Whip Soft Serve or a Dole Whip Float. The soft serve is just purely the soft pineapple ice cream where the float is the soft serve served in a glass that also contains pineapple juice.

Because this is such a popular attraction, the new mobile ordering will definitely play to your advantage. Using your Disney app, you can now go on and make an order for a certain time in advance. When you arrive to the location you hit a button to make your order. This will save you from standing in a line for 30 minutes when you could be on a ride.

Extra bonus fact:
Go to the second line on the inside of the Tiki Room turnstiles. This line is normally much shorter than the first line you see on the outside of the attraction.

Disney Bounding

Hello Darlings!

Are you above the age of 14? Do you love Disney characters? Do you like to get cute pictures for “the gram”?!? Okay I promise to never say that again! But I know exactly what you need to give a try… Disney Bounding!

Disneyland has rules against anyone over 14 wearing costumes. Obviously, there are plenty of reasons why this is in place. Also, it would be a shame for a young child to think you were the character that they have been wanting to meet all day!

But do not worry! You can still dress up like your favorite characters by Disney Bounding. Disney Bounding is dressing up as a more contemporary version of a beloved character. This resembles the character enough that if you are standing next to them, others can know who you are but not dressed up in complete detail.
If you want to give this a try, I suggest looking through your closet to see what clothes can give you inspiration for an outfit. Then if you need anything else try to visit thrift shops, vintage shops, or even just walk through the mall.

Not only will it be fun to create an outfit but you can also be proud of yourselves for having this completed look at the park!

Here are some examples of outfits that you can put together. I hope these will spark your imagination for your next Disney Bounding adventure!
@diagon_ali_418 with an amazing Star Wars Disney Bound

@off_with_her_ears aka Me! This outfit was super simple but works as Cinderella or Wendy!

@diagon_ali_418 as Wanda Maximoff

Incredicoaster! "Where's Jack-Jack?!?"

Welcome Darling!

This is Edna Mode speaking and I have one rule… NO CAPES!!!

Just joking it is still me! But today I wanted to talk to you about the Incredicoaster! Like I said in my Pixar Pier post I tried so hard to go on this ride… but guess what?!? I finally did!!!

I was able to sneak in one more trip before leaving back to Boston and I rode the amazing Incredicoaster. But this was not an easy task. I was in California Adventures minutes before the park actually opened. Then I went to wait in the line.

Wait for it…. It wasn’t open!!! They were testing for a good 30 minutes after the park opened. But once they were ready, they left everyone in to the actual ride line and continued to test for another 20 minutes.

Tip: I was a single rider but they told me that line was not yet open. If you wait by the first entrance with the umbrella, they will open it once they start boarding rides. This might save you a few minutes but it didn’t take me very long in the normal que.

Was the wait worth it?

Yes! 100% yes! They turned the normal coaster into an ‘incredible’ story. The whole family was chasing after Jack-Jack who was uncontrollably using his powers to move around the track. The soundtrack fits perfectly for the ride!

There is also a special appearance by… Edna Mode!! She is too funny y’all.

So in general, the second of the pier is ‘incredible’, the characters are ‘incredible’, the food is ‘incredible’, and the Incredicoaster… is “incredible 2’!! Okay I think you all get what I am trying to say. So if you are in California, make sure you take some time to go on the Increcredicoaster!
